If you are an employee of a Horizonius client or service provider, we may receive your personal data from your employer. Our use of your personal data is governed by our agreement with your employer.
You are not required to share your personal data with us, but failing to do so may result in Horizonius being unable to properly provide you with our full range of services or a seamless user experience with our solutions, websites, or newsletters.

1. Data Controller
When Horizonius collects and processes your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Notice, we do so as authorized under applicable data privacy laws, whether as a data controller or joint controller (similar terms may be used under applicable law). This means that we determine and are responsible for how your personal data is collected, used, protected, disclosed, and disposed of.
Depending on the jurisdiction you are located in or made contact with Horizonius, the local Horizonius entity may be your primary data controller.
2. How Do We Collect Your Personal Data?
Horizonius collects personal data in the course of our business activities, directly from you and from third parties:

When you use Horizonius services or applications.

Horizonius does not engage in automated decision-making processes that have significant legal effects on you without appropriate human oversight.
4. What We Do Not Do When Collecting and Processing Your Personal Data
We do not collect, use, or permit third parties to use deidentified data for the purpose of identifying or reidentifying individuals. When we receive deidentified data or transform personal data into deidentified data, we make the following commitments:
- Horizonius Consulting will maintain deidentified data in its deidentified form.
- Except when necessary to verify that personal data has been properly deidentified, Horizonius Consulting will not attempt to identify or reidentify individuals within a deidentified dataset. We will not use or allow the use of deidentified data to associate individuals with specific characteristics, nor will we permit third parties acting on our behalf to do so.
- In the event Horizonius Consulting provides access to or discloses deidentified datasets to third parties (e.g., service providers or clients), we will require such recipients to agree to preserve the deidentified nature of the data and to refrain from attempts to identify or reidentify individuals or associate them with individual characteristics.
5. Who Has Access to Your Personal Data? Data Recipients and International Data Transfers
Personal data collected during Horizonius Consulting’s business activities may be transferred and made available to Horizonius entities, service providers, and third parties, as necessary, to fulfill the specific business purposes for which the data was collected and to facilitate our interactions with you, and as required to comply with applicable laws. - Horizonius Consulting’s subsidiaries, affiliates, and personnel globally.
- Horizonius Consulting’s service providers and their personnel.
- Horizonius Consulting’s legal and professional advisors.

- To aid in investigating an actual or suspected security breach involving confidential or personal information;
- To support auditing, compliance, and corporate governance functions;
- To comply with applicable laws.
- To a successor entity in the event of a reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, or other transfer of Horizonius Consulting’s business operations.
- To protect personal data transferred internationally, Horizonius Consulting adheres to relevant data transfer laws, including incorporating the necessary data transfer terms into our agreements with affiliates, subsidiaries, service providers, and third parties.
6. Security
Horizonius Consulting is committed to safeguarding your personal data globally, in compliance with applicable laws and our privacy and data security policies. We apply industry-standard technical and operational security measures to protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction, in consideration of the risks associated with the data and its processing. We require the same level of protection from our subsidiaries, affiliates, service providers, and third parties. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized Horizonius Consulting personnel and service providers, all of whom are bound by confidentiality obligations. While we take precautions, Horizonius Consulting cannot guarantee that unauthorized individuals will not gain access to your personal data.
7. Retention of Personal Data
Horizonius Consulting retains personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the business purposes for which it was collected, to meet legal or contractual obligations, and in accordance with Horizonius Consulting’s data retention policy. Upon the cessation of these purposes, we will securely delete personal data as per established practices for data destruction.
If you request the deletion of your personal data, Horizonius Consulting will comply with applicable laws and will make reasonable efforts to delete all instances of the data, while reserving the right to retain a copy of the data for purposes outlined above. For requests concerning access, corrections, or deletions of data, please refer to Section 9 of this Privacy Notice.
8. Data Collection from Children
Horizonius Consulting does not intentionally collect or maintain personal data from individuals under the age of 16 through its websites or business content. Should any of our non-site business activities involve the collection of personal data from individuals under 16, we will do so only with the appropriate legal consent from a parent, guardian, or the individual, and in compliance with applicable laws.

In accordance with applicable law, including any relevant exceptions, you have the following rights regarding the personal data Horizonius Consulting holds about you:

- The right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your data, where consent is the basis of processing.

- The right to request a review by Horizonius Consulting’s Data Protection Officer or applicable Data Protection Officer for your jurisdiction.
- The right to seek legal remedies, depending on your jurisdiction, by lodging a complaint with the relevant data protection authority or initiating legal proceedings.
9.2. How to Exercise Your Data Protection Rights
To exercise your data protection rights, you may:

Upon receiving your request, Horizonius Consulting will acknowledge receipt within the legally required time frame and provide guidance on the next steps in the process. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on your request, in accordance with applicable laws. If you use an authorized agent to exercise your rights, the agent must provide evidence of their authority, such as written consent from you.
Please note that there may be exceptions to the exercise of certain data protection rights, depending on applicable laws, and Horizonius Consulting will explain any limitations on your request.
9.3. How to Unsubscribe from Horizonius Consulting Communications
To unsubscribe from Horizonius Consulting newsletters, alerts, or invitations to surveys or events, you may:
- Click the unsubscribe link in any email you have received from Horizonius Consulting.
- Edit your communication preferences in your Horizonius Consulting account if you have one.
